You’ll notice that while a mix might be loud, or even sound pretty good to begin with, mastering will take it to the next level. Mastered tracks have improvements to their tone, impact, volume and overall eq.

By running all tracks through similar processing, your album will have sonic unity, tying the record together for your listeners.
